Many possibilities: I don't have enough information to provide a good answer. How long has the pain been present? Any history of injury? What worsens the pain? What makes it better? What diagnosis have you been given? How severe is the pain? What lab tests have been done?

We need more info, please.

3 months left side abdo & flank pain and tenderness blood urine cystoscopy & CT scan fine. No diarrhea, but some constipation. Colonoscopy next. Cause?

Possibilities: A ct scan could have missed a kidney stone that passed just before the scan. It could also miss diverticulitis, depending on whether the ct scan was done with both IV and oral contrast. Colonoscopy is definitely the next thing to do. Another consideration is endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy, or inflammatory bowel disease. ...Read more

Very low: If the colonoscopy was done correctly, there is negligible risk of your developing colon cancer in 20 months. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor. ...Read more

Grumbling in the left side of bowells just bellow my ribs what is it no pain in night only after I get up could this be ins flare up had a colonoscopy

I don't think it is: A significant problem. Bowel sounds can be of gurgling type off and on. That is quite normal for many people. Unless you experience pain in the belly which is persistent, you should be fine. Do keep in touch with your doctor who did your colonoscopy, go see him in case you have persistent pain in your abdomen. ...Read more

Not typically: Depending on age, lower left sided abdominal pain may be an indication of diverticulitis. This might be the " inflamed bowel" you are referring to. Putting the bowel at rest with clear liquids initially, and antibiotics usually helps. A. Ct scan of the abdomen/pelvis can help make the diagnosis. After you feel better, and the infection resolves, a colonoscopy is indicated to further evaluate the colon. ...Read more

Had a biopsy-less colonoscopy 5days ago and check-up, still experiencing upper left-side, center ab or stomache pain under ribs. What could this be?

Need to find out: If the pain was present before the colonoscopy, then you need to go back to your physician to be examined and tested to find out the cause. If the pain began after you had the colonoscopy, and doesn't decrease when you pass gas or have a bowel movement, you need to see the doctor who did the procedure. Sometimes, there are complications even without a biopsy. ...Read more

Why would I have left-sided mid&upper back pain after an EGD & colonoscopy? Hurts more when eating and swallowing. Biopsies were taken.

Invasive procedures,: Such as EGD and colonoscopy, often cause discomfort afterwards, especially if biopsies are taken. Could be normal: Postop incisional pain which sometimes may take upto 6-8 weks to go away. I would check for signs of infection such as redness around the incision, or any drainage. If your pain is deep inside tand associated with fevers then u may need an imaging study to rule out any post op abscess. Follow up with your surgeon and he/she will guide you. ...Read more
