Left Side Of My Head Is Numb
The left side of my head is numb. Weird headaches that over the counter tylenol etc. Doesn't help if I scratch my scalp in the area seems to irritate?
Sometimes feel the left side of my head gets numb, it's strange also feel it gets cold, this sensation lasts for a couple of seconds. I Have migraine?
Not the classic: These aren't the classic symptoms of migraine, but it may be similar in some respects. In any case - see a Dr for an exam and take it step by step. It's not likely to be a simple everyday headache with the numb/cold brief description. You'll possiblye be referred to a neurologist for tests. That's fine - don't be alarmed, but find out what's going on. I'll refer you to Dr Saghafi - a good HT neuroSee 1 more doctor answer
A portion of my left side of my head feels numb. Its in the area where my left temporal lobe is. Its usually intervals of every 4 hours. Why?
Whoa, boy: Forget about your left temporal lobe. The brain feels nothing except sensations from other parts of the body. This is all about outside your skull. You forgot to mention how long this has been happening, how long it lasts, & what "numb" means: Less feeling, tingling, etc. That still won't be enough. You'll have to leave your computer & see a nonvirtual doctor to find out why.See 1 more doctor answer

Why is the whole left side of my head numb? The soft spot in the back of my head is a little sore.
Numbness: Numbness is worrisome, especially unilateral (one sided) head numbness. You could be dealing with a nerve injury, spinal cord injury, herpes zoster, stroke, muscle tension, and even seizures. Honestly this type of problem requires an urgent medical evaluation. If you have not done so already seek medical attention right away.
I was hit above the eye by a ball yesterday and have swelling there. This morning though the left side of my head/scalp is numb - is this serious?
Evaluation: Any trauma near eye could be serious. If it will be not better in 24 h and you will have blurred vision you need to go to doctor or even ER
The left top side of my head feels numb after the numb feeling goes away my head hurt on that side what could be the cause?
Most likely migraine: Migraine is a type of headache resulting from imbalance of brain chemicals, especially serotonin. While sensitivity to light, nausea, vomiting, flashing lights are common symptoms, numbness can be a precursor symptom. Especially in women, hormone changes associated with menses can trigger. You need to be evaluated by your doctor; effective treatments are available and other causes need excluding.See 1 more doctor answer
Is it normal for my left side of my head just to go numb for like 10 mins nd feel dizzy I mean im 7 months pregnant nd its the first time happening?
Not really normal: Vague symptoms but I certainly wouldn't call them normal or expected in a pregnant woman. Do you have a history of migraine headaches or something along those lines? Any nausea/vomiting associated with these feelings, light or sound sensitivity? If I were you I'd let the OB/GYN know what's going on and get a neurology consult done just to be crystal clear on your symptoms and what they could mean

I am having numbness on the left side of my head. It feels like the left side is sleep. What could be causing this?
Likely not serious: Most causes of head numbness, as contrasted to facial numbness, are benign. Commonest causes are compression/irritation of occipital nerve (sensory nerve to scalp only) often secondary to neck spasm or upper neck arthritis. Other common causes are vascular headaches (typically migraine). Facial numbness can be a symptom of actual or impending stroke.See 1 more doctor answer
Just recently this morning got up and feel numbness on top left side of my head, and has not gone away. I've been taking verapamil since 2004. Thanks?
Probably benign: Most likely your left occipital nerve to the back of your head isn't working well, usually temporary, verapamil, occasionally used for migraine or migraine variant, has nothing to do with your symptoms. If you have a history of neck problems, occipital neuralgia is frequently associated. If you are having headache, this may still be true but other things would need to be considered also.
Hi when I lay down on the back of my head for some reason I get this numbness feeling on the left side of my head especially when I use a pillow. As s?
Pressure: This is most likely positional, temporary and due to pressure on the superficial nerves of your scalp and has nothing to do with any brain pathology especially if you don't have this symptom any other time. A neurologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you if you have further concerns.
Sharp stabbing pain on the top left side of my head, numbness in left side of my face, what can it be?
Emergency! Go to ER: Please all 911. Sudden facial numbness might be an evolving stroke. Immediately call 911. Do you have other risk factors besides diabetes for stroke such as elevated bold pressure? This could be an emergency. Seek urgent medical attention. Call family/friends to seek help as well.
I have numbness on my left side of my head been 3 weeks now grand baby through a bottle of water and it hit me in my temple?
Bruised?: More than likely the area got bruised, and the nerves were damaged, making the area feel numb. It should recover in a few more weeks. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer
