Many possibilities: If you are otherwise healthy, it may just be you are impinging your Trigeminal nerve on the left side, but it may be a sign of an electrolyte deficiency (usually though would happen in day too), it may be a sign of lack of blood flow, or another nerve issue, go see your doctor.
