Unlikely: Most likely an abdominal muscle strain as it occurred with lifting. If you can reproduce the pain by stretching that area or with flexing of those muscles, it is a likely a muscle strain. The one organ on the left side of your abdomen that is a concern for internal injury is your spleen, but that occurs with trauma to the spleen, not with just lifting. Pain in pregnancy: Her symptoms need to be evaluated ASAP either by your dr today or in ER. Heavy pain in pregnancy is always worrisome if it persists or is recurrent within a short period of time. Aches that are sporadic are normal. A fast heartbeat associate with palpitation is common but your doctor would need to evaluate this. Stress strenuous exercise, age medical problem like diabetes or thyroid condition are a few reasons one might have repeated episodes of abnormal menses.
