Shoulder pain: Try not to focus on "possibility" rather than "probability". Our brains often make us focus on the former as that is the greatest danger even if there is little chance of that. And in this case there is very little if not close to zero chance that your acute symptoms are a bone cancer. Do Some Research: This sounds like a "classic" case of a rotator cuff problem. That is, the tendons that move and/or stabilize the shoulder. If you're careful, it can heal on its own, but if there's been no progress after 4-6 months, go see an orthopedic doctor. Before that, avoid straining above shoulder height. How is function?: If range of motion is good (arm goes all the way up in the air and all the way behind the back) and have not had a recent injury, i usually recommend nsaids under care of a pcp.
