Hard to say: The only things near there that could "pop" are your ribs. Try tracing out the individual ribs and seeing if one is the culprit. You might be able to see it in the mirror. If it is a rib, see your orthopedist. If not a rib, see your medical doctor. ...Read more

Musculoskeletal pain: This could be from a pulled muscle, cartilage inflammation, tendon strain, bone bruise, etc. Local treatment like ice or heat (whichever feels better) to the area as well as ibuprofen to reduce inflammation is the best initial therapy. Ask your doctor before using to take more than that for 2 weeks. Side effects are diarrhea and possible dehydration. ...Read more

I was sitting with my back hunched forward and I felt a popping in the left side of my chest, near my heart, followed by a sharp pain. What happened?

Nerve: This appears to have been a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between two ribs. The popping feeling could have been from the ligament that holds the rib joint onto the sternum (breastbone). The sharp pain would be aggravated by a deep breath or cough. This situation should resolve in a few days, but see your md as needed. ...Read more

I sretched my arms back, coming down of a wall and my chest made a popping sound. It hurts to get up from bed or raise my left arm. It's been a week.

Soft tissue injury: My first instinct is to suspect a strained or torn muscle in the left shoulder/chest region. If you are able to raise the arm with pain, then it is likely to get better soon - if unable to raise arm completely, you may need MRI to check for rotator cuff complete tear. It's also possible that you suffered a mild dislocation of the shoulder. If no better in a week, see a doc for help. Good luck! ...Read more

ECHO and CT: It could be due to a leaky heart valve (aortic valve), aortic aneurysm, or due to migraine. The best way is to get a ct scan of the chest and head. An examination of the heart wiht an echocardiogram will help rule out a valve problem. Of course migraine usually does not get diagnosed with either of the tests. ...Read more

I feel a on and off multiple bubbling popping in left chest area no sound form it just feel could this relate to acid reflux/gerd as I do have this?

Possibly?: A bubbling sensation in left chest area could be related to GERD but it's not typical. This type of complaint is highly unlikely to be caused by any serious condition. I think if you reassure yourself and stop paying attention to it it will
just go away. It's natural to be concerned when you experience a new bodily sensation, but in this case you can relax. ...Read more

Examination: It would be impossible to make a diagnosis based on the limited information you can offer in this forum. Where exactly on the chest does it hurt? If it hurts at the junction of the rib and the sternum you might have dislocated the rib, even just temporarily. You need to be examined to get an accurate diagnosis. Consult a clinician. ...Read more

I have gerd/acid reflux yesterday I feel like I have multiple bubble popping in the left chest area no pain could this be hernia or something serious

Not sure.: Your symptoms are nonspecific enough that it is difficult to tell for sure what is going on just from your short description. If you do know you already have Gerd, I would try taking a liquid antacid such as Mylanta when you get these symptoms, just to see if it helps temporarily. If it does, did you know that the problem is likely to be acid related. If they persist, see your G.I. doctor. ...Read more
