Nerve: This could be a pinched nerve that is aggravated in certain positions. If you are not extremely bothered by it, there is no need to seek urgent care. Get EKG: although could be musculoskeletal (rib injury, shoulder refered pain, neck problem). you need to rule out cardiac issues even without previous personal or family history...suggest get an EKG as soon as possible. Hand numbness: Could be two separate issues. Hand numbness could be carpal tunnel syndrome and chest pain could be costochondritis (like arthritis). Spine problems or other problems at the junction of the chest and neck could theoretically cause both symptoms, but less likely.
