Clinical more import: There is much more importance in this kind of situation of the clinical picture for the presence of a blood clot than the value of 1 single lab value. If your other testing is negative multiple times and a doctor's examination of the leg is negative for suspicion of a clot then, 1 single abnormal lab shouldn't change anything. L5-S1 microdiscectomy Fri for left leg sciatic pain. Calf/foot pain relief w/some thigh/behind knee pain. Pain less AM but sharp pain down left leg into foot w/pain level of 9.5 & hurts sitting/lying.

Microdiskectomy: Give it some time; sometimes simply moving the roots around can upset the lumbar plexus and give you intermittent (even quite severe) pain, although it resolves within a week or two. Getting to the disk requires mobilization of the roots and inflammatory changes from that- or the disk herniation- itself can give this pain. As long as bowel and bladder OK, hopefully this will resolve also. Best! ...Read more

Spasm /muscles tight: there are a lot of possibilities. These include muscle spasm, Radiculopathy, hamstring strain amongst others. You should see a PMR doctor or neurologist who can perform the appropriate imaging including a lumbar & knee MRI and consider an EMG which evaluates nerve and muscle function.
