Please have him: seen by his doctor. It is hard to diagnose a rash without seeing it. This could be a reaction to something, but also could be an infection, either viral or bacterial. You didn't mention your nephew's age; if he is an infant, I would be more concerned and call his doctor today. ...Read more

See your MD!: Cellulitis is a very serious infection and if it is spreading you need to see your doctor as soon as possible to evaluate your response to treatment. Even though you are already on Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) I would have your doc re-evaluate your treatment to determine why the redness is spreading. ...Read more
