Colon? kidney? gyne?: Diverticulitis commonly causes sharp left lower abdominal pain, inflammatory colitises can cause symptoms. Obstruction. Constipation. Kidney issues. Herniae? Ovarian cysts? Splenic Flx syndrome: Lt. upper quad is one of the areas associated with splenic flexure of left colon. After BM which empties the rectum, the major site for the reservoir of stool is the transverse colon. At the time of BM stool passes to the splenic flexure. No : Twenties female w. 9 months crampy abdominal pain and gas unlikely to have cancer. She is candidate for diagnosis irritable bowel syndrome (ibs).
