Need more history: Sounds like this headache is worrying to you. Your brief description has some features that point toward and away from such diagnoses as migraine and hemicrania continua. Tumors are more likely to cause seizures and focal neurological symptoms than headaches, and when tumors do cause headaches, the headache often worsens with lying down. Need MRI: Brain Tumors are very rare. So, it is very unlikely that you have that. However, headaches is one of the most common presenting complaints of brain tumors and many new cases had headaches for months before anyone ordered the right test. It may be in irritat: it may be an irritated nerve. Can't say for sure where it would be coming from but someplace up the arm. Could even be as far up is it your neck. I'm assuming the palm of your hand is not tender.
