Fell 1 step sideways on left foot. I limp when walk, it's swollen n a small circle on the side but not noticeable. Is it broke, sprained, how to cure?

Get it checked out: There are so many structures on the side of the foot/ankle, it is hard to say without exam. Left foot swollen since a 5-hour flight 2 days ago. Doesn't hurt to walk, swelling does down at night, but returns in the day. Should I be worried?

Concerned: I would be concerned. Mainly because of your age. Usually, the concern on long flights is someone can possibly get a clot in their leg. The concern is that normally your foot is not swollen. It is possible you have a stress fracture, though, i wold expect some degree of pain. A visit to the doc, i think would be a good idea. ...Read more

Go with the flow.: It sounds like you've managed to slow down the venous return. The blood can flow down to your foot but pressure on the top of the foot has impeded the blood returning up your leg by smashing the veins. of course , it could involve other possibilities. To remove all doubt, have your foot examined, especially if the condition persists. ...Read more
