8months ago i had bells palsy in right side & numbed left side, after recovery got pain behind left eye. now still have the eye pain & got blood spot i?
SOME THOTS: Bilateral issues suggest that this is NOT just simple Bell's palsy, and instead may represent a different process. Eye pain with a blind spot raises questions of an optic nerve inflammation. Suggest visit to neurologist, as several different explanations may need to be considered. I would test for sarcoid, MS, vasculitis like lupus, etc. We might be able to help further via Concierge service. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Sympathy: It may sound silly, but the eyes are intricately associated with each other. If one eye becomes irritate or injured, it is not uncommon for the other to experience a degree of discomfort as well. Additional possibilities include: your operated eye was stronger and now you are relying on a weaker eye; or you are experiencing old vision problems that you did not recognize prior to the procedure. ...Read more

Sometimes I have eye pain in, around and/or behind eye. Comes & goes and effects both eyes. My vision doesn't change. Worried about Optic Neuritis.
Just curious...: Why you are concerned specifically about optic neuritis? A female in her mid twenties might worry about this, for example, if there is a family history of MS or another CNS disorder. Maybe if you have a personal history of diabetes you are concerned about visual complications? In any event, ON is typically painless, and usually there are problems with vision. Pain should be evaluated by your PCP. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I've been having eye pain in my right eye & sometimes a headache right above my hurting eye. I don't have blurry vision. Could it be optic neuritis?
Probably a virus: These two things may be related ... In which case, it's probably a virus; rarely it could be an infection with a parasite. Viruses will pass and be killed by your immune system in 7-14 days, in general. If this persists either: the symptoms are not related, or there is another cause. Intestinal parasites/worms can cause allergic reactions, right lower pain, and bloodshot eyes. See your dr.! ...Read more

Suffered conjunctivitis last month. Now watching almost foggy especially left eye. My vision become 6/12 from 6/6 on left eye and right eye is6/6.Help?
Maybe : It depends where the blood vessel is. If it is in the eye yes. This would occur for several reasons the most common is diabetes but hypertension can do it. Other reason could be retinal detachment. If it is in the white of the eye also sclera, it looks terrible but little danger to affect sight or blurred vision. If is causing blurred vision , see eye doc now. One other cause is trauma. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See eye doctor now: Have you had your eye pressure measured? An alternate answer would be migraine which is of concern also if it occurs for the 1st time at your age. ...Read more

Bruise?: This sounds like a subconjuctival hemorrhage, which is essentially a bruise on the whites of the eyes. This may cause some dryness and lead to fluctuating vision. The treatment is OTC artificial tears for symptomatic relief as the blood re-absorbs. You should see an eye MD to confirm diagnosis and treat accordingly. ...Read more
Eyes were white before June. sinus. Eyes still red.Dialited blood vessels side of eyes and some at bottom.Could this be a blood clot?eye exam normal
Chances high not: blood clot, but perhaps irritated eyes! If you still have your sinusitis brewing that's not helping matters. So if your eye exam is normal, and they did a dilated exam too, you are in the clear. Your dilated blood vessels needs to be investigated if it's from contact lens overuse, dry eyes, or other causes. ...Read more
