Right ear infection 8/25.On antibiotic since.Have slight ear pain and headache.loud ringing/muffled sound. Pain behind eyes. Left ear craclking.
Probable node: Could be a lymph node or salivary gland tumor pushing the ear forward. If there is fever, tenderness pain and swelling behind the ear, hearing loss, ear drainage i would be concerned about infection in the mastoid bone which needs urgent assessment. If these latter symptoms then needs urgent attention. If not and the bump persists>2-3 weeks then see ent. ...Read more
Not usually,: There may be hearing loss in one ear. Causes vary. The easiest to treat is when the hearing loss is due to wax build-up, which is easily removed by a trained professional who diagnoses it after examination. Don't use Q-tips! That's a need for MD: Best solution would be to have this examined by a professional (family doctor), and throat cultured and assessed. Upper respiratory tract infections may well be due to virus, bacteria, etc. You might try using a netti-pot or nasal saline spray along with a decongestant and nsaid.
