Did you give blood, was blood taken for a test, was the vein used for IV medications, was trauma involved, was you arm pit examined, was thoracic outlet syndrome excluded, etc. Etc. Superficial clot.: Superficial vein clots are generally not worrisome as they're too small to really do anything bad. Try putting a warm soak onto the area in question twice daily for a while - see if this helps the clot to dissolve. ...Read more

Don't understand: I am not sure that I understand what you are describing. However, if you have a medical issue that does not allow for this movement would show it to your parents. They can contact your doctor regarding your symptoms. ...Read more

Right arm vein hurts by my wrist. Dr. Says it might be gout but even with meds the pain is still there and so is the swelling. What could it be?

Phlebitis Arm: It sounds as if you have developed superficial thrombophlebitis of a vein in your arm. You should see a doctor and get it evaluated, as you could develop bacterial phlebitis which can be serious.
