Left Arm Numb After Electric Shock From Outlet
Severe arm and hand tingling like electric shock when I tilt my head back
Also neck pain arm numbness?
Radiculopathy: It sounds like a disc has herniated in your neck or some other issues closing off the opening your nerve roots run through to exit the cervical spine. These are classic symptoms and I recommend seeing a physician sooner than later to identify if there is anything emergent or surgical necessity to avoid arm paralysis. You may not need anything but a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack, but get checked to be sure. ...Read more

Severe pain from neck into shoulder dull ache down right arm for 8 weeks now getting pins and needles in right hand is this a trapped nerve?
Need exam: Difficult to determine without an examination. Differential diagnosis could be cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck), brachial plexopathy, peripheral nerve entrapment such as carpal tunnel syndrome (not uncommon for cts pain to travel up the arm), or even myofascial pain with trigger points. Would suggest physiatric evaluation for definitive diagnosis and treatment. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Pain radiating to left arm and chest originating from near left shoulder blade. Tingling in left arm till fingers also present depending upon position?
Two considerations: You might possess pinching of nerve in neck, cervical radiculopathy, and if arm is raised, you might feel less symptoms. Or, you could have thoracic outlet syndrome, and if arm is elevated, you will have more intense symptoms. One additional caveat, make sure that your pain is not of cardiac origin. Have your doctor assess all of this. ...Read more
Severe onset of left shoulder blade pain that radiates down left arm & hand.Left arm also tingles.Whole left arm is weak. Neck is fine though.
Radiculopathy: Pain that radiates down the arm can reflect a cervical radiculopathy (shooting pains due to a pinched nerve in the cervical spine). Many patients will have no associated neck pain. These conditions typically resolve with time and conservative treatment. It would be reasonable to watch it for a week or two, and use NSAIDs if needed, before seeing a physician. ...Read more
Left arm shoulder pain left arm numb from about the elbow to te finger tips with a burning sensation. And right hand finger tips numb.?
Likely nerve compres: Since your symptom is one-side and in hand, it is more likely carpal tunnel or ulnar neuropathy (compressed nerve in wrist or at elbow). Diabetes can cause tingling in hands as well, but often starts in feet first and usually symmetrically-- both sides (stocking-glove pattern). This is relatively easy to sort out by a thorough history and clinical exam by your doc. So, consult doc. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Was fixing breakfast. Developed tingling sensation in left hand, similarto shock/arm being asleep. Sensation traveling up arm. Cold sensation as well.
Sure of that path?: it is common for nerves to give tingling/temperature reactions when they are irritated. They go outward from the area where the problem occurred. The elbow has a nerve that runs on it that is quite exposed to injury/irritation with the symptoms going out from the elbow and into the hands (funny bone). ...Read more
Pain in left arm and left shoulder. Arm feels numb with sharp pains down to elbow, causing nausea. Pinched nerve maybe? Or something more serious?
Possible Nerve Pinch: Sharp pain in the arm associated with numbness is often a symptom of a nerve pinch somewhere along the course of a nerve or nerves.
