Do rice--rest (avoid irritating it), ice pack 3 times daily for 10 minutes, compression 24/7, and as much elevation as you can. Where above ankle?: Where specifically are you "touching". And, what do you mean by "touching". There are nerves that pass by the ankle and if they are irritated they can produce "dysesthesias" with light pressure. Make notes of precise location and then see your doctor to correlate.
