What to do if you have a fever or headache more than 5 days? Fever is running around 101.5 and has not broke, headache is their most of the time.
Fevers for the most part aren't dangerous and are just the body's natural reaction to fighting off an infection. Most of these infections are viral and may be accompanied by runny nose, sore throat, congestion, mild rash, or nothing at all. Since fevers aren't dangerous, we usually treat the fever with Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen just to make the patient more comfortable as their body fights the illness. However, a fever lasting 5 days is concerning and you should call your doctor for an appointment.
"Red flags" that we look for with fever to indicate something more serious is going on are: -fevers that last 5 days or more -fevers persistently above 104f orally -a person that acts very sick — very irritable or difficult to wake -difficulty breathing -vomiting, diarrhea, refusal to drink, or dehydration -a purple rash, esp on the legs -stiff neck -any complaints of pain such as the ear, throat, stomach or a joint As always, use your judgement. If you think that you are ill, err on the side of caution and call your doctor. ...Read more

See her doctor.: These are classic symptoms for a strep throat, but they also could be from an infection with a virus. The only way to tell is for her to be examined by her doctor and tested with a throat swab. They may be able to get the results within a few minutes and then if the test is positive, will treat her with an antibiotic. Sometimes, it is too early and a swab will be sent for an overnight culture. ...Read more

37degC fever for 8 days, body aches, running nose for 4 days, neck ache but no headache. Is it normal to have a fever for so long?
Be aware: That 37 degrees celsius is considered within the range of normal. While everyone runs at slightly different baseline temperatures it would be uncommon that 37oC would be considered a fever. Toddler has fever 100.2 congestion, headache lasted a few min and stomach pain last night. Was running around today but still has fever, take to ER?
Not today: If your child is running around today, perks up with a dose of ibuprofen, it doesn't sound like ER visit material. It's not the fever itself that we worry about in a child, rather how the child is acting and how their behavior responds to the fever medicine. Fever itself isn't damaging in and of itself. We just want to learn where the fever is "coming from" so to speak. Outpatient visit soon ...Read more

Maybe strep, etc...: Nose and throat symptoms can be from cold viruses, strep throat, allergies, etc... It can be difficult to tell what the cause is. I am suffering from running nose from 3 days and now slight fever, slight body and head ache. What might be its cause?
My boyfriend made a sex toy out of caulking. I have been running a fever, no appettite, chills. At first thought I was getting a bladder infection. So started taking Azo pills. Plus have bad head aches all day long.
I don't know which type of caulking was used. So I have included mds material for a caulking that is frequently used. Your health shouldn't play second fiddle to sexual fun. What the two of you did was irresponsible because you didn't have any knowledge about how the caulking would affect your health before using it inside yourself.
