Absolutely: See your doctor. Don't want a severe pain syndrome to develop, so the sooner the better. Pt may help, also try seeing a good hands-on osteopath to get some of the trauma out of your tissue. Find one at: http://physician.Academyofosteopathy.Org, http://www.Cranialacademy.Org (find a practitioner) or http://jamesjealous.Com/physician-directory/u-s-physician-directory/. ...Read more

Ankle MRI report - ant tib tendon bowing, tendonitis in ant tib, tenosynovitis in posterior tib, mild tendonitis in Achilles'. Best treatment?

Cold compresses help: I have found that tendinitis frequently responds to application of cold compresses, particularly gel devices kept in a freezer which when applied to tendinitis will cut the inflammation down and provide comfort without the potential side effects of listed medications (which help as well but can cause considerable side effects). Such gel devices can be found in drug stores (OTC). ...Read more

Need more information: This will depend on what your Imaging And other studies show. I am uncertain what some of your abbreviations mean . Born with cerebral palsy literally walking ankle can ankle be reconstructed?> domainant side can ankle be reconstructed

Younger children can often be treated with soft tissue operations to lengthen contracted tendons and transfer tendons to rebalance muscle forces around the foot. If you are 51 you're foot may be reconstructible, but would likely require bone procedures such as an osteotomy or fusion. See a foot and ankle specialist. ...Read more

If MR torn ligaments: & x-rays show some spread of the tib/fib & widening of the ankle mortise, i would say surgery. Doing it now has a much better outcome than if down the road U need a reconstruction. B sure U C a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, who practices foot & ankle. ...Read more
