Learn More About Pregnancy At 26 Weeks
Hcg beta at 14dpo=70 16dpo=106. Doubling time= 80 hours. What are chances of miscarriage? Slow x2 time happened to me in last (healthy) pregnancy too.
May be normal: You cannot predict anything from these data. Do not take the "doubling time" too literally, there is some variability and 166% increase in 48 hours is still within normal many times. Good wishes. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Is it safe to fly long distances (about 17 hours each way) while in early pregnancy (first trimester)? Are there risks for the fetus?
We read a lot about childless women having higher cancer risks. How serious is this? Should we be worried about it at age 34?
Why specifically should you wait at least one cycle after a m/c to try again? I've heard for easy dating/for uterine lining/for emotional health...?
Waiting: I assume you mean an uncomplicated miscarriage. Reasons include 1) your HCG level from the miscarriage must fall to zero, 2) you must resume ovulating, and 3) you must re-establish a cyclic endometrium. I recommend waiting 1 full cycle after an uncomplicated miscarriage and confirming the HCG has fallen. Many doctors recommend a longer wait, but it seems arbitrary to me after 1 cycle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Bpm: No but it is something that needs to be checked by your primary care provider to see if you may need a specialist to take a look to further determine if there is a real problem. I hope this helps. ...Read more
16. about stage V tanner scale. period at 15 yr 0 mo. parents 5'4.5/5'5. currently 5'2.5 done growing? how much more
Possible a little: Most girls grow for about two years after onset of menses. You don't say how far into 16 you are. If just turned 16, you have almost a year to grow yet, but if almost 17, then your growth is about done. My guess is you may have 1/2 to 1 inch possible yet. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I spend much time ruminating on death. I want to be ready for the unlikely life-threatening situation. Is this healthy? Most days fine, others nervous
26 weeks pregnant: blood pressure - 123/70. Is this within range? At what point do I need to worry about pre-eclampsia?
Are these vitals normal for a newly pregnant woman? BP:110/74 HR-105 RR-12 TEMP-99.3 Still trying to detect pregnancy at 5 weeks. please advise.
At 4 weeks 6 days my hCG has come at 1515 and progestrone at 14.3 - is there anything to worry about?
Need more info: You can't really tell unless you have several levels. The HCG should double in about 2 days, and the Progesterone level should be stable or also increase. A falling level of Progesterone can be a warning sign. 14.S is a little low early on. Best to recheck some numbers, especially if you have had a miscarriage before. ...Read more
Is it safe to travel internationally (20+hrs flight time) at 34 weeks with gestational hypertension?
Flying pregnant: Although it can be perfectly safe to fly up to 36 weeks, discuss your plans with your doctor or midwife before you book your flight. In high-risk cases, your healthcare provider may advise against travel in pregnancy. Increased risks of DVT are associated with pregnancy and long flights. With a 20 hour flight in combination with hypertension in the third trimester, I suggest staying home. ...Read more
I'm getting an induction at 38 weeks pregnant... I'm so scared something will go wrong.. How safe are inductions at this stage in pregnancy?
Started period at age 9. Am 26 now. I know there are a limited supply of eggs. Should I think about having kids sooner rather than later?
You have time...: If you are wondering if you should have children because of a decreasing egg supply, don't let that concern you. You were born with over a million eggs. The number dwindles over time, so that at puberty you have about 300,000-400,000. You have plenty of eggs. Don't let that be your deciding factor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My parents opted me out of sex education, can I take classes to learn more about the birthing process?
Hi i'm 34 wks pregnant and am aiming for a water birth, everyone is telling me to not have one is this unrealistic to achieve at 17 ?
Hard to say: You are not planning a shower or remodeling your kitchen. If your baby had a vote, it would ask you to find the best help possible to get born healthy, If that means a water birth, fine, but I find few that are practiced enough in the method to remove the risks involved. Done well, that might give you bragging rights, done poorly and baby may have a bad outcome. I find it a poor choice at any age. ...Read more
