The only way to be sure of the status of your urine is to have a formal urinalysis (ua) done by your doctor. Multiple things are screened for in a ua including protein, glucose, nitrites, white blood cells etc. Your doctor will be able to interpret the results and decide on additional testing. You may need an urologist evaluation in order to determine if there are any abnormalities of your urinary tract, which would explain the change in your stream.

You mentioned a bowel resection prior, and on recent antibiotics. Frequently this can cause changes in normal bowel flora and make a contaminated urine culture seem positive if not under appropriate symptoms.
As we get older, can lose bladder tone and not completely empty the bladder with urination, which predisposes to uti. It is always best to stay off antibiotics if able. ...Read more

First of all you posted in ob/gyn, are you pregnant? If so this is an emergency and you should go to OB triage. Hopefully you are not pregnant, I think you would have mentioned that in your post.
On to your concern, you need to be evaluated by your doctor right away, a more worrisome issue would be a fistula or it could be something as simple as a uti. Either way you need an evaluation and treatment.
Good luck. ...Read more
