Exclusion first: Before you diagnose adhd you must exclude a long list of other problems. The screening test is here http://www.Adhdoractivechild.Com/adhd-test but excluding the other problems that can look like adhd is an entirely different story. What are your child's symptoms? ...Read more

Will using zdot hair cleanser work in passing a hair drug screening test for meth used meth onlly 3 times in the last two months?

Will using zdot hair cleanser work in passing a hair drug screening test for meth used meth onlly 3 times in the last two months?

Doubt it: Zdot is an expensive shampoo ($34.95 for one use, and that's "guaranteed" for only 24 hours because your body oils will re-contaminate the hair, supposedly.) once you've used meth, the drug could be in your hair for 3 months. If using at all, it's very dangerous and very addictive. Please get help for your drug use. http://www.crystalmeth.org/cma-meeting-directory.html. ...Read more

I just had an HIV 1/2 eia antibody screen w/ reflexes. Can you explain how this test works? Are there any better tests?

I just had an HIV 1/2 eia antibody screen w/ reflexes. Can you explain how this test works? Are there any better tests?

Viral Testing: To test for many infections we look for antibodies (your body's reaction to something new or foreign). In the case of HIV infection these antibodies can take three to six months to be positive on a test. This old fashioned test is a reliable and common screening tool. But, it is not the best test if one is possibly exposed. We now send HIV genetic tests which can be positive by day 21 post expos. ...Read more

My 1st trimester screening came back very low 1 in 3, 000. I just took the harmony genetic test. Is there any chance my risk can change to high risk?

My 1st trimester screening came back very low 1 in 3, 000. I just took the harmony genetic test. Is there any chance my risk can change to high risk?

Not likely: Your numbers are quite good. The 1 in 3000 is based on your first trimester screen which is a probability. The harmony test is based on the fetal dna in your blood. Therefore, it has a higher detection rate than the first trimester screen, and in theory could change--but not highly likely given your good numbers. ...Read more

Already had harmony test, afp, first trimester screening and they were all very low what might a dr suggest if soft markers are found on anatomy scan?

Already had harmony test, afp, first trimester screening and they were all very low what might a dr suggest if soft markers are found on anatomy scan?

Reassurance!: If all that's found is a soft marker, and your screening and cell free dna results are normal, the most likely answer is that the soft marker is a normal variant. However if there is a finding consistent with a birth defect, that might merit further investigation, such as diagnostic testing within amniocentesis. ...Read more
