35yo. F. W/ hyporthyroidism. colonoscopy/endoscopy 11/20/14. Diminutive 3mm polyp of sigmoid colon. Random biopsies of ileum and colon done. Cancer?

Not always.: Although change in bowel habits is a strong indicator of colon cancer, it can signify other things as well, like irritable bowel syndrome, or gallbladder issue, i.e. Stones. Your'e young for colon cancer, and gallbladder issues. So it is likely that the source of this lies elsewhere, like your diet. It is very possible: If you don't drink enough fluids more of the liquid in the small intestine is absorbed and at the breaking point - viola constipation. You don't need it: Your colon keeps itself clean naturally. If someone tells you that you may feel sick because of "toxic bowel settlement" or something similar and that you need a fancy laxative or bizarre enema, ignore that person. Please be careful.
