Work-up appropriate: Before you contemplate longterm laxative dependency, seek medical evaluation--rule out metabolic causes of constipation (e.g. Low thyroid or adrenal conditions), distinguish slow versus normal transit constipation, consider a primary rectal dysfunction that may be treatable with biofeedback, check for structural pathology or extrinsic impingement, or intermittent ileus (e.g. Pseudo-obstruction). ...Read more

Can I take valium, synthroid, (thyroxine) and percocet with Dulcolax sensitive stomache for women for constipation? I am afraid to mix and I only this laxative available and I have not defecated pain medication.

Can I take valium, synthroid, (thyroxine) and percocet with Dulcolax sensitive stomache for women for constipation? I am afraid to mix and I only this laxative available and I have not defecated pain medication.

I am 23 years old. I have mild hemoroid and anal fisher for one year. I have constipation and I use laxative. How I treat that? What drug prescript?

Avoid constipation: Hemorrhoids are exacerbated by constipation and the "pushing" necessary. Foods high in fat tend to constipate you. Foods high in fiber favor looser stools. Fruits vegetable, whole grains are excellent sources of fiber. Also, fiber only works if u are well hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids to keep stools soft. Most fissures will heal with a topical cream./ if not, surgery can help. See a doc. ...Read more
