I sleep with lavender essential oil on my pillow for sleep, but lately I wake up every day with a stuffy nose. Is this normal or an allergy to it?
Not normal: It is not normal to have a stuffy nose every day. Whether this is due to allergy or not requires an examination and evaluation. The lavender oil per se is unlikely to be the cause for your congestion although the scent may potentially trigger sneezing and even a runny nose. The easiest way is to use another pillow not touched by lavender oil and see if the congestion goes away or not. ...Read more
