CBT: It is well established & proven that cognitive therapy plays a major role in reshaping one's perception of the environment, help detect automatic thoughts and assumptions that lead usually to automatic reactions. CBT, SSRI,SNRI, Beta-blockers haven't helped to control my social anxiety. Is there any medication which can 'knock me out' before social situations ?
Exposure therapy: Exposure therapy uses gradually increased exposure to anxiety triggers coupled w/ relaxation training. SSRIs can help but @ times more effective is learning to deal w/ it differently w/ help of a therapist who specializes in exposure-based therapy.
