Hello doctor. My wife has cough when she laughing. But some one told me this problem may be HIV infection. So I am afraid about this problem please.?

Cough with laughing?: Coughing only during laughing is not a symptom that would suggest an HIV infection. It is most likely unrelated to whether or not a person has an HIV infection. A primary care doctor can help test for hiv, if a patient is worried about hiv. A blood test can be done at the lab. The over-the-counter HIV saliva test was recently approved and may be in the stores already. ...Read more

Do you think I could be suffering from a mental disorder? Symptoms-extreme crying, worrying, anger, sad one minute happy the next, stress, suicidal thoughts, doomed feeling, high blood pressure, that has lead to cocaine use for 2 years snorting. For 1 yea

Do you think I could be suffering from a mental disorder? Symptoms-extreme crying, worrying, anger, sad one minute happy the next, stress, suicidal thoughts, doomed feeling, high blood pressure, that has lead to cocaine use for 2 years snorting. For 1 yea

Hi.: Hi. I cannot diagnose your problem. It is not clear which came first, the drugs or the mood issues. Each can exacerbate the other. The mixture of cocaine, alcohol and smoking (tobacco? Marijuana? Hashish?) could be deadly. You stated that you are experiencing palpitations and high blood pressure now. The extreme mood changes might be related to the drugs you are putting into your system. Extreme mood changes can also be associated with certain personality types or mood disorders. One thing is for sure, if the substance abuse continues; if there is an underlying mood disorder - it will not improve. The best way to determine if there is an underlying mood disorder is to be free of all chemicals for at least three months. Your suicidal thoughts are of concern. If you have thoughts of killing yourself, a means or a urge to carry this through, you need to get emergency help. Whether you are actively suicidal or not, if you keep harming yourself with chemicals you have the risk of dying. I hope that you get professional help. You sound miserable and things could be much better for you. Take care. ...Read more

I blessed with a baby boy yesterday he weighted 2.7 k gs. The problem is he started crying after 1 min & he is nor crying ever since (in absorvation)?

Is he better?: They cry to oxygenate and to let you know they are hungry. If you are breast feeding, have him skin to skin on your chest- that can calm him. Also breast feed often- every 30 minutes to an hour for 1-2 minutes. Short frequent suckling brings your milk in faster and then he will be more satisfied once he is getting full from eating. ...Read more

I have been crying in my sleep lately. What diagnoses could this symptom be attributed to and what can I do to help ease or stop it?

Its a release!: Crying, in my opinion is a physiological reaction to an emotional state, such as the emotional part of pain, happiness, sadness, etc. Crying while asleep is most likely a reaction to an emotional state while you are asleep. Some of my patients reported sleep crying during periods of emotional turmoil. Most crying is a release, a solution, and it will stop. If it persists, you might need help. ...Read more

I'm having relationship problems with my fiancé. I've been crying off and on for 3 days. Should I be worried about the baby's health?

No: People endure different amounts of stress during pregnancy. Babies are very resilient but you need to ensure you are resting as much as possible and eating/drinking water normally. Do your best to work out your problems before your child arrives as stress between parents can put unnecessary stress on you and your new infant. If your baby is moving less than usual you should call your doctor. ...Read more

My baby crying as soon as we place her in car seat. Because of this problem we cant able to go any trip. How can we make her to calm down?

Ear plugs/phones: If s/he gets use to being strapped in for every short trip it should gradually get better. Fussing is the primary tool of infants, when they realize you don't change because of it they eventually opt for less. It is important NOT to attach mirrors or toys to the seat or surrounding area that might detach in a crash and hit them in the face. Check with www. Safekids. Org for more on car seat safety. ...Read more

No there is not.: You should check your baby and make sure that they are not hungry or have a wet or dirty diaper and that they are not hurt in any way and that they have not thrown up. If not, you can actually help your baby learn to get back to sleep by letting them cry and fuss for a short period of time. ...Read more
