Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I would speak to : Your obgyn...What day of your cycle are you? If the first day of full flow is cycle day 1 and you are now cycle day 35 or greater and your pregnancy test is negative it could be that you skipped a period. If you have a history of irregular periods that require control with birth control pills than it would not be unusual to skip after stopping them...At any rate you should see you local obgyn. ...Read more

Missed miscarriage in January this year, period 4 weeks after but am now 11 days late and negative pregnancy tests? Is this normal?

Re do test: It would be prudent to re do the test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD. Consult this site for more information on this topic. http://www.nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/menstruation/conditioninfo/Pages/causes.aspx Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

Irregular bleeding: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections, hormonal changes, polyps and fibroids can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test. Is this a miscarriage or still a pregnancy? What is wrong with me? Hello there, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since september without any luck. This month when i got my period it was very unusual, it was a day late and when it came it

Yes : Yes you could have been pregnant. One study showed that about 50% of women conceive each month but just have very early miscarriages. Sometimes it is perceived as just a late period. This is normal since we know that in humans it is common to make embryos that are not normal enough to continue. It is always a good idea to check a home pregnancy test whenever you have a period which is not normal for you. Rarely you can have an abnormal pregnancy which can cause serious problems if not followed closely. If your test comes back negative, there will be no way to know if you were pregnant last month or not. You have been trying for 3 or four months now. If you are less than 36, you can try up to 12 months before it is time to see a fertility specialist. ...Read more

Miscarriage a year ago negative pregnancy test 5 days late brown discharge could i still pregnant.

Miscarriage a year ago negative pregnancy test 5 days late brown discharge could i still pregnant.

Trust the test : A pregnancy test can detect a bhcg of about 20. Your bhcg roughly doubles every 48 hours. Let's say the first day you took it you were barely pregnant with a level of 19. 48 hours later your bhcg would be 38 which is way above the level for a urine pregnancy test to detect it. Home tests work really well and can be trusted. Repeat and if negative then you are not pregnant. ...Read more
