No relationship: Just because the Gardasil shot prevents infection by viruses that cause genital warts and some cervical cancers doesn't mean Gardasil has any effects on menstrual periods, pms, sex, pregnancy, etc... The vaccine has no relationship to menstrual periods. It is possible that a steroid shot could've altered your period coming down but if you had sex during your fertile days (Or during any time during your cycle) then, that is significant and should be the impetus for you to take the test. ...Read more

No relation: The hpv vaccine, (gardisil and cervarix), do not affect your period. You are having dysfunctional uterine bleeding for another reason. At your age, this is not typically anything bad. Progesterone: From the information given, you stopped the depo shot. Progesterone takes up to 12 months to clear. As you recall, abnormal bleeding, bleeding every day or no bleeding at all or anything in between is entirely normal for progesterone only contraception.
