What could cause my INR to be 1.9 last week, and 4.4 this week with no diet or medication changes? Can lupus anticoag. Do it?
Changing INR: It is relatively common for inr to change even though a person keeps taking the same dose of Coumadin (warfarin) and is careful with diet, taking the same amount of green foods (salads, green vegetables). Lupus antibodies do raise inr but unless there is a change in the level of lupus antibodies, it would not affect the inr. Can gluten exposure cause systemic arthritic type flare-ups days after exposure? Lupus & RA negative labs. This has happened 3 times last year.
By Gluten "exposure:
I assume you are referring to Gastrointestinal. Ingestion and gluten intolerance (adult "coeliac" disease and other Gastro-intestinal disorders leads to GI symptoms. Not arthritic flare ups as commonly associated problems!
Talk with your PCP about a referral to a Board Certified RHEUMATOLOGIST for further evaluation!

Diagnosed w/Dermatomyositis last year, then Tumid Lupus and Raynaud's. Was just diagnosed w/Dysphagia. How does that change the general prognosis?
Today I had ANA test, results came back none detected. Why last month ANA was positive 320, on plaquinil and minocycline for lupus and dermatitis.
Heads up: I think we may already have met. As a pathologist / specialist in lab medicine, I would suspect that one or the other was a lab error. The ANA is a very easy test to do wrong. I have lupus & get really dizzy (not vertigo) & confused during every flare. I still get dizzy a lot & it lasts weeks. Neuro & rheumMD don't know cause.
SLE: Confusion and dizziness are common symptoms with many causes. When they occur during every lupus flair the SLE is the most likely cause. These symptoms can also be caused by steroids used to treat SLE flairs as well as other medications. You did not say how often your flairs occur or how long they last.
