How long will drug-induced lupus last?

Usually a few months

Fever
After stopping the offending drug, of course. Drug-induced lupus rarely is systemic and does not affect major internal organs. It is usually diagnosed by finding antibodies to single stranded DNA, not double stranded DNA, as in SLE. Symptoms moderate with time, can be easily treated with low-dose steroids 5-10mg, and pain meds like naproxen. Joint problems are the most common problem, & fever.

Lupus did not show on my last exam, is it possible for it to hide itself?

No, but

Systemic_lupus_erythematosus
there are many, many types of connective tissue disorders, so is best to have several tests done by a rheumatologist depending on what your symptoms are.

I have lupus antigolment present and I have last 3 month before miscarriaged this broblem how to cure lupus?

See details.

Systemic_lupus_erythematosus
There is no cure for lupus. You do not say if you are currently taking an anticoagulant but you will need to be on one if you become pregnant again. You should also be taking hydroxychloroquine on a regular basis to control.your lupus and guard against future complications.

Dr. Hamid A. Hai answered:

What could cause my INR to be 1.9 last week, and 4.4 this week with no diet or medication changes? Can Lupus anticoag. do it?

Changing INR

Inr
It is relatively common for INR to change even though a person keeps taking the same dose of Coumadin and is careful with diet, taking the same amount of green foods (salads, green vegetables). Lupus antibodies do raise INR but unless there is a change in the level of lupus antibodies, it would not affect the INR. Some individuals have a very labile (changing) INR for no apparent reason.

Re:Lupus, recently my C3 is low and C4 is low but where I had 0 for anti_dsDNA my last lab showed 10 is my Lupus active again?

See details

Systemic_lupus_erythematosus
Low C3 and C4 levels by themselves do not have much clinical significance. They and your DNA levels does not determine the activity of the lupus. Discuss these issues with your rheumatologist.

Dr. Gurmukh Singh answered:

With Lupus my last blood work stated H RDW & L GFR with tremors down my R side with tingling should this be a big concern to worry about?

Need evaluation

Blood
Elevated RDW is not that big a deal, as long as your hemoglobin level is normal. Low GFR is of concern in a person with Lupus, as it is an indication of kidney disease. You need to be evaluated further to assess the extent of kidney disease as well as the symptoms you mentioned. I trust that you are under the care of a doctor and you should discuss all of this with her/him.

I have been diagnosed with lupus of the skin and joints. I am currently on meds. In the last month, I have developed boils. Is thisrelated?

Possibly

Systemic_lupus_erythematosus
If you are being treated with immunosuppressants for your lupus, than you may be at an increased risk of developing skin infections. Discuss this with your rheumatologist so that you can be evaluated and treated appropriately.

i am 37 female and i have sle lupus among other things i have pain all over. i went to the er last night they found high wbc. s.o.s. helpless???

Maybe nothing.

Systemic_lupus_erythematosus
Talk to your rheumatologist or primary care doctor first. Some people always have a little bit of a high WBC and some medicines (including those used for lupus) can raise the white blood count. Don't be alarmed by a number. Let your doctors be if appropriate. Call them in the morning.

Go the lupus foundation of america's website to find a support group for lupus patients near you. I think you would find this beneficial and you would also learn how other patients cope with the disease
