Large Swollen Gland In Neck
I have a large cold sore, swollen glands in my neck and sever mouth/tooth pain. What is going on and what doctor do I see?
Your dentist: This could all be related to the "cold sore" but with what you are saying about the tooth pain. You could have multiple problems as in a cold sore affecting your swollen glands but it could be an abcessed tooth which is producing bacterial infection and possibly that is causing the glands to swell. Bottom line see your dentist. ...Read more
Monitoring Centers: The lymphatic system carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells/digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph to see if anything bad is there like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react and you feel them. ...Read more

Big headaches on head back, above eyes for past 2w. Left neck glands swollen. Left ear cavum hurts on touch. Slightly dizzy. Is it sinusitis?
Not likely: If you do not have nasal symptoms or discharge, it is not likely to be sinusitis. It is not feasible to say, what it is without examining you. I've a fever & pain, have swollen glands in my neck for the past week & have 2 large red spots w/ white centers where my tonsils were. Mono or strep?
I have had swollen glands in my neck and pelvic area since March and I’m not sure if it’s a cause for concern. The lymph nodes aren't very big.
Watch and wait:
If you do not have any symptoms you may watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

I had surgery 10 days ago. I had skin graft from hip and it was placed on foot. Its a large section of heel. Could this cause swollen glands in neck?
No: A skin graft to heel taken from hip places the surgery below the umbilical area where nodes to groin in rare instances may show enlargement. I suspect this is a free split thickness graft that requires immobilization of leg and foot to keep graft in place until healing occurrs. Glands in neck as a response to surgery would only be associated with surgery of the H&N. ...Read more
