I have rash up my legs that look to be purpura, I have gone to doctors 4 times now and still don't have diagnosis, it went away and came back. Ideas?

Vasculitis: This may be an autoimmune vasculitis where small blood vessels in the skin(capillaries) rupture and leak blood. See your doctor: This is what is called a "descriptive" path report. In these cases we construct a list of conditions that can produce this type of reaction pattern then try to narrow it down if possible. In these cases a good solid history needs to be taken to identify any possible cause (drug or other). I am afraid this can be a challenging process and sometimes we do not find the actual diagnosis. Good luck. ...Read more

Red/purp marks on arm cleared in 3 days and came back 2 wks later. One doctor said purpura and one said rash. Also chest pain and difficulty breath!in?

Doctor can examine: "Difficulty breathing" means a trip to see her doctor now. If she seems distressed, that means an ambulance trip (by calling 911). Difficulty breathing can be due to many different problems, and some are serious. "Purpura" is bruise-colored skin spots, and may or may not be serious, depending on why they are there. Blood tests may be needed, to see if there is a serious problem in the blood. ...Read more

Possible: Possibly heat rash. Also may be fungal or even an allergic reaction or sensitivity to your underwear. Consider chaffing gel, and cotton only underwear or boxers.
