How can I prevent large, painful bumps in genital area. I don't shave just use scissors to trim pubic hair. Every month i get at least two bumps.

Infected cyst?: Something like this is usually a non-STD skin infection, like an infected sebaceous cyst, boil, folluclitis, etc. It might need additional minor surgery to improve drainage, or perhaps an antibiotic. Otherwise, you could try warm compresses to the area three times a day, if it drains on its own, apply an antibacterial ointment to the area twice a day and monitor. It can happen: Even w/o sexual activity, women can develop lesions on the vulva. Some are allergy or auto-immune in nature. Many are infectious in nature.
