Does a large ovarian cyst and cervical cysts indicate a hormone imbalance & would that be excess estrogen? But progesterone high days I hurt all over
Ovarian cyst: If you have a large ovarian cyst this needs to be evaluated by an Obgyn to determine if needs to be removed or if it is likely to resolve on its own. The term cervical cyst is unclear in meaning. An Obgyn should evaluate this to determine if further work up is needed. Neither of these would lead one to suspect a hormonal imbalance. ...Read more

How to treat high LH in pcos? All hormones est, test, prog, dh, sb, and ovary size, insulin normal. Corp leut once saw with many cysts but not always.
You don't: Goal of treatment is not to treat high lh. It is to regulate the periods in women not trying to get pregnant, help with fertility in women who are, improve Insulin resistance and treat excess hair growth and hair loss and prevention of diabetes and high chol. High lh is just a marker that pcos may be present but is not used for diagnosis. ...Read more
23 yrsmri pelvis showed lots of follicles in ovaries. Excessive hair growth. Elevated serum prolactin. Slightly high dhea. Very painful period. Pcod?
Do women with pcos have high estrogen levels or low estrogen? I've heard it's usually high but somewhere it's mentioned that the levels are low.
Pcos: Women with pcos more frequently have higher estrogen levels. The problem however is compounded by an excess of androgen hormones e.g. Testosterone that causes many problems. Also women with pcos tend to develop hyperinsulinism that make matters much worse. Pcos requires careful medical attention to maintain health. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

PCOS and ovulation: The labs suggest you have pcos and are not ovulating regularly. You may take Clomid (clomiphene) or Femara to get you to ovulate consistently. If the oral medications aren't successful, you may need to consider injectable medications or ivf as an alternative. Depending on other parameters, you may also benefit from using metformin or some measure to reduce your Insulin levels. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a prolactin level of 18 range is 5-18 still normal but at higher end of it. FSH and LH normal but low T level.Does that indicate pitutary tumor?
Hard to say..: These may not be related to each other. Many things can cause pelvic pain, if you have large ovarian cysts (>4cm) they may be the cause, but smaller ones less likely to cause pain.Low prog levels (&small ov cysts) are both normal during certain phases of menstrual cycle. But low prog can cause mood sx, anxiety, sleep disturbances. If you have these natural Progesterone tx may help. ...Read more

What are symptoms of high prolactin levels? Is it dangerous if a women have high prolactin levels? What causes high prolactin levels?
Low Testostorone, low free T, low SBGH, normal LH, FSH, and TSH. Had increase in T with clomid (clomiphene). Does this rule out pituitary / hypothalamus problem?
Here are some ...: Congratulate for improving T with Clomid, (clomiphene) but need to correlate T-level with clinical low-T-related Sx. This indicates HPT(hypothalamus-pituitary-testicular) axis still functions but suggests some dysfunction in hypothalamus, which has been observed in those having taken CNS-effecting drugs such as opiates for a long duration. Nonetheless, you're in best possible care and continue its use. Best .. ...Read more
My Testosterone, Thyriod, DHEA-s, 17- OHP, Cortisol, Prolactin & BP are normal level. But my Androstenedione is very high. What could this indicate?
Hard to tell: One would expect the T levels to be elevated as well. I am not sure what very high means. Sometimes in polycystic ovarian syndrome androstenedione is elevated. The fact that DHEAS, T are normal is reassuring. I would suggest talking with your ordering physician about this so that they can determine how significant this result really is. ...Read more
