Miscarriage, ovarian cyst or period? How can I tell the difference?

Miscarriage, ovarian cyst or period? How can I tell the difference?

Interesting question: I assum you have period, but you want to know it is a miscarriage, or normal period, and want to know it is caused by ovarian cyst. First of all, you know what your normal period should be, if you missed your period for few days, especially after pregnancy test, then you know it is miscarriage. Sometime, functional ovarian cyst may delay your period, you may find out by ultrasound and blood test. ...Read more

No: Sorry about your miscarriage. :( A simple ovarian cyst doesn't increase your chances of having a miscarriage. On average, a miscarriage occurs in 1 in 5 recognized pregnancies. If you have only had one miscarriage, you are not at any higher risk of having a second miscarriage. Your risk is still about 1 in 5. Best wishes! ...Read more

Does ovarian cyst make it harder to get pregnant? i got them after miscarriage i never had them before then and my ob said theyre small and not growin

Depends on cyst: What it is, why its there, and how long it's been there. Ovarian cysts are very rarely (if ever) connected with miscarriage, and miscarriage does not cause a woman to get cysts. Small cyclic ovarian cysts (follicles) are common and normal in women who cycle: your doctor can explain further if you are interested. Good wishes. ...Read more
