I have a mild herniated disc. And I have pain on my left back and my left breast. What do I do?

Disc herniation: A herniation in the back does not coupe breast pain. That may have different cause. Leg pain can certainly come from a herniated disc, but has a good chance of getting better with time, stretching, and pt also anti-inflammatories can help. Do not become a couch potato. Good luck. Nerve: This could be caused by a nerve issue in your cervical spine. You do not mention which discs are herniated but I'd advise you to discuss this with your doctor. Read more

Herniated disc: Though not one of the more common presentations for a herniated disc, chest pain can be caused by a herniated disc. Cardiopulmonary problems are much more common (and serious) and need to be ruled out first. Read more

When I drive a lot I get shoulder pain moving in towards my chest what could cause this mostly left arm I do have herniated. Disc in neck?

Neck or shoulder: You can get similar symptoms from an impingement on either your neck or shoulder itself. Best thing to do is see a physiatrist and get examined as there are special tests that can be done to determine which it is. If the exam doesn't lead to answers and MRI would be the next step. Heart problems can be referred to the left arm (angina) so if you have risk factors for heart disease see an md. Read more

Do a recent c5-c6 herniated disc with spondylosis and l5-s1 prolapse disc with spondylosis cause symptoms similar to heart attack? Chest pain& fatigue

Do a recent c5-c6 herniated disc with spondylosis and l5-s1 prolapse disc with spondylosis cause symptoms similar to heart attack? Chest pain& fatigue

Not usually. See MD: A cervical disc on the left can cause pain in to left shoulder/scapula and in to the arm. The pain can give a patient fatigue if sleep is impaired. The heart should definitely be evaluated as soon as possible, though, as that could be potentially be life-threatening. Read more

10 days before the 40th birthday I could not move out of bed. Something was wrong with my back in the upper region toward my neck.....?

Honest: This is not a case for HealthTap. You need a 1-1 evaluation by a neurologist and/or rheumatologist. The efforts of the available HealthTap MD's have been outstanding as far as they could go In fact, if you are near the Mayo or Lahey clinics, then you should go there for an inter-discipline evaluation. In absolutely no sense of criticism, you have been through what I call "too much:" and need important psychological support to help you work this thru. H. Robert Silverstein, MD, FACC Read more

I have extremely large breasts 48ee and they are big and have a lot of red veins and little sores on them I want to know what is the cause?

Accept who you are: Breast size is variable. Some women have very small breasts, others have average breasts- others have large breasts, a few other women have a very large breast. It depends on your genes as well as the level of hormone/estrogen that you have. When the breast is large it may give you some discomfort due to the size. Some veins more noticeable especially if you have fair skin. Discuss further with md. Read more

I have bad back pain. I also have large breasts. Can this cause the back pain. Medication isn't working anymore. Please help!

Large breasts: Although sometimes can induce strain on the muscles that preserve the vertical posture it is an exclusion diagnosis. I would go to a MRI fist that can eliminate the vertebral and disc origin of the pain, and then to a plastic surgeon. Read more

Can there be a way to get rid of neck pain caused by large breasts?

Can there be a way to get rid of neck pain caused by large breasts?

Depends: First thing would be to strengthen the muscles in the upper back and scapular areas. Often if there is cervical spine pathology it can be addressed via physical therapy, medications and injection therapies as well. However if the underlying pathology could be corrected via exercise that would be best. Also people have gotten breast reduction surgery as a last resort to address this issue. Read more
