I have an ovarian cyst on my right side that is 1.3cm big but why do i have a severe sharp pain in my lower right abdomen?

I have an ovarian cyst on my right side that is 1.3cm big but why do i have a severe sharp pain in my lower right abdomen?

Doubt cyst is cause: A 1.3cm ovarian cyst is usually a normal finding. Small cysts are part of your normal menstrual cycle. They form as part of ovulation. Doctors who don't know why you have pain will sometimes tell you that your pain is from a small cyst like this but this is rarely true. I don't know why you have pain but I doubt it is coming from this cyst. Best wishes! ...Read more

My Nurse Practioner said I have large cyst my cervix, it's about 1/4 the size of my cervix. She ordered vaginal and abdominal ultrasound, why?

Ultrasounds : Ultrasounds tell you the gross anatomy of the structure that you are looking at. The nurse practitioner saw a cyst but could only see one surface. Not the full extent of the cyst. The U/S exams will give a fuller picture of the extent of the cyst and if surgery is planned a roadmap for the surgeon. ...Read more

Both ovary big in size. Peripheral cyst there. Abdomen and back pain and sometimes nausea. How to take treatment for this? Is it dangerous?

Both ovary big in size. Peripheral cyst there. Abdomen and back pain and sometimes nausea. How to take treatment for this? Is it dangerous?

Probably ok: A cyst is not pathology, it is merely descriptive. It is the type of cyst that is important. Also, what does large mean? In most women your age these "cysts" are either follicles or a corpus luteum. They can be treated by birth control pills, if treatment is even required- most need no treatment. Most "cysts" do not cause back pain, abdominal pain or nausea. ...Read more

I was in a minor mva yesterday and today i wake up to find that I have minor bleeding. Should i go to the er? In feb i had surgery to remove a very large cyst in my abdomen. During this surgery my tubes and ovaries were removed.

Since : Since it is impossible to say whether your bleeding is from your surgery or from damage from your mva, you should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. You should give you ob/gyn or the doctor who did your surgery a call. They may want to see you in their office or they may direct you to the er. Good luck! ...Read more

I have an ovarian cyst on right ovary found in ct of abdomen. Measuring 6.3x5.4x4.9 cm. How large is this and should I be concerned. ?

See your Ob/Gyn: A 6.3cm ovarian cyst is the size of a large orange. A cyst that size is an abnormal finding. What is done about it depends on your age, what the cyst looks like on ultrasound, what other ultrasound findings are present (such as fluid in the abdomen) and in some cases on labwork. You need to be seeing an Ob/Gyn about this as they are trained to know what to do next. Best wishes! ...Read more
