Lanacane Spray Medication
I may have inhaled a lot of raid mosquito spray and now I have a dry cough that won't go away with cough syrup. What medications do I need?
Raid is the problem: The raid spray is irriating your mucous membrane from inhalation, and if gargling with saline rinses don't help, you can call the poison control center (for your state), and they will give you antidotes. Don't believe that cough syrup will work, as it's primarily sugar with some expectorant. Don't delay, so you can start feeling better. ...Read more

I found out I overuse nasal. My nose blocked is getting worse.
Is there any OTC medication I can get so that I can stop using nasal spray?
My 22year old daughter has a 2nd degree sunburn. We have neen treating it with liticane & alovera spray and oral pain medication.?
Sounds good: You can overdose on lidocaine, though, so be careful. Also, second degree means blisters -- if you can, do not pop them. The fluid inside is sterile. It's better if they deflate on their own. Once they open, the roof should be removed to avoid infection, and the wounds covered with topical antibiotic (neosporin or silvadene) to decrease scarring. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Does using grapefruit oil, extract, mist,or spray topically on the body or inhaling it interact with ssri medication?
Probably transiently: The issue with grapefruit and other medications is that it competes for the same activating enzymes as the medication. Grapefruit inhibits the activating enzyme p450 thereby increasing the effect of any medications using that same enzyme such as certain types of ssri's. This effect is transient and limited to the amount of grapefruit taken in. In the case of topical and inhaled it's probably smal ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What can you do for nasal inflamation ( congestion) outside
of common allergy medication. Nasal sprays don't agree with
me, sinus rinses don't help. ?
Have you been tested: Nasal congestion can be allergic or nonallergic. If you are allergic, you have lots of options, like avoiding triggers, different prescription allergy meds, or even allergy shots. You need to be allergy tested to see if any these can help. If you are nonallergic, then the best medicines are nasal sprays, although decongestants like pseudo Ephedrine can help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Will Patanase nasal spray thicken mucous/dry me up? what medications do you recommend for frequent nasal congestion?
I felt some pain in my ear after I used Flonase. I did two sprays in each nostril. Will the pain go away when the medication wears off?
Not expected: Flonase does not usually cause ear pain. The only thing I can think of is that you were aiming the spray directly to the back and thus hitting the eustachean tube opening but even that is an unlikely scenario. Try aiming the nozzle towards the side walls of the nose instead of the center and let me know if this helps. ...Read more
I used Flonase last night two sprays in each nostril & I don't like the feeling I got in my ears. How long does it take for medication to wear off?
Maybe a day, but...: Flonase sprayed into the nose should not cause a bad feeling in the ears. If a bad feeling happens, it may be a coincidence. Be sure the Flonase tip is not plugging the entire nostril when spraying. There is not a direct connection from the nostrils to the ears. Sometimes, we try Flonase in sinus-congestion patients to help the ears normalize their pressures if the ears seem pressurized. ...Read more

My wife is constantly coughing and the medication she is on isn't working. It's a wet cough but the last doctor did not prescribe anti biotics. What must we do next. She is on a Multi vitamin, nose spray and antihistamine?
Revisit or: second opinion are needed. Not all coughs require antibiotics: 80++% of upper respiratory infections are viral. More importantly is cough control and several excellent Rxs are available. Until seen again use Delsym DB every 13 hrs if not allergic to this medicine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hi, I have been to a doctor 2 days and the Dr said I might have a throat infection. I got Andolex-C spray, Betaclav 1000 and Florawin prescribed to me. I have been taking the medication but not getting any better, what should I do? Can't swallow.
Doctor can examine: If one has a tonsil infection, and it is a bacterial infection like strep throat, she will have taken antibiotics. If she is worse, such as having more pain, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, or too much cough, then it is hard to tell what is going on without another exam. That means seeing the doctor again. Bad things like a big tonsillar abscess or a neck abscess can happen. ...Read more
