Lactum Milk For G6pd
Which milk is better for my 2yr old baby: Formula, Normal pasteurized Cow Milk or UHT Long Life Cow Milk?
I do not recommend: G6pd exists in different forms with different severity. Mild forms of the condition might tolerate soya bean oil where severe forms of the disease probably would not tolerate it. Given alternative formulas that would not have potential for hemolysis, i would recommend not using s-26 for your infant. ...Read more
Several options: Lactose intolerance occurs when your gut does not have the enzyme to digest lactose. It remains behind, ready to be digested & used by gut germs that make you gassy & cramp. It also pulls along water so you may have loose stools. There are products that add the enzyme, like "Lactaid" milk. Soy products are also lactose free. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My baby is months old . And she is positive og g6pd deficiency .. Can I give her cow milk / fresh milk?
? age ? not listed: Your babies age was not listed. We encourage mothers to breast feed or use formula until a year of age before switching to cow milk. The cow milk by itself should never be a problem. You should avoid soy based foods or milk or anything related to peanuts. The big issue for these kids is the numerous drugs that can trigger blood breakdown. You should always inform any treating doc of the G6PD issue ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Soy Not Good Either: Food protein-induced proctitis caused by proteins from cow's milk, which are ingested through breast milk or standard cow's milk based formulas. Soy milk can cause similar symptoms. Treatment consists of complete elimination of cow's milk and soy from the diet. Breastfeeding is always best. Strict avoidance is key. Good news is that sensitivity resolves by one year of age in almost all infants. ...Read more
Appears to be good: Aptamil is brand of infant formulas used by mothers unable or unwilling to breastfeed. Aptamil appears to be better than cow's milk for better infant digestion & tries to approximate ingredients in breast milk. Discuss it with pediatrician. ...Read more
More palateable: Either formula will work, however, there is an issue with palatability of the infant to tolerate the formula. Thus, its a matter of trying out the formula. Historically the soy based formula is more popular and also less expensive and readily available. Rice formula tends to be sold in certains stores. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can a breastfeeding mother include milk curds in diet? Elders say lacto bascillus in curds is not good for baby?
Yes: I routinely suggest the use of probiotics including lactobacillus for babies. It is especially helpful if they have had diarrhea or antibiotic treatment. Why your elders suggest it is a problem is confusing. The germ doesn't get into breast milk anyway, and can be fed directly to baby if you desire. ...Read more

Can I mix breast milk with whole milk for 10.5 month old baby? Can I give him a bottle of only whole milk?

If this was fine, it's okay to start transitioning to whole milk along with your nursing. If child was anemic/low uron, should continue to supplement your nursing with iron fortified formula until at least a year of age. ...Read more
In evoporated milk which brand is good for a 14 month old baby.....And can he have whole cow milk ?
Old standby: 40-50 years ago many moms made up their own formula by adding water to evaporated milk (lasted longer on the shelf) , boiling it so it could be digested ( cow milk is for cows) & tossing in some karo syrup & vitamins. If you're in a place where fresh milk is difficult to find, any product should be similar & should be diluted 1/2 & 1.2 with water. Regular milk is preferred for convenience. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

7 wk old breastfed newborn diagnosis with cow milk protein allergy. On dairy free diet but poo is still green but no blood in stools. Can iron sup cause this?
Pooh color...: Baby pooh comes in many colors depending on age and diet. Green is not a problem although the typical breast fed baby's pooh is yellow. The color can change based on your diet. Bright red or dark red/black pooh would be of concern as this is a sign of milk allergy. Iron can change the color of pooh to black which is not a problem. As long as baby is well green is no problem. ...Read more
