My HSV 1 + 2 IgM 0.50 and HSV 1 + 2 IgG serum 24.28 but not mention which hsv 1 or 2 I little confused why they not mention?? I am from India
HSV blood tests: You have HSV1, 2, or both. Ignore the IgM results. HSV IgM antibody in theory detects early infection, but the test is inherently very unreliable. Also, IgM antibody never tells HSV1 from HSV2. Some IgG antibody tests also do not differentiate HSV1 from 2, and that seems to be the case here. Ask your doctor about having a type specific IgG test that accurately measures antibody to both HSV1 & 2. ...Read more

q: 1 & 2 interrelated? What's the solution?
Pap smear result states : mildly abnormal with HPV virus and low grade changes ie CIN 1. Is this categorized as class 1 , 2 , 3 or greater?
I think probably not: I've followed the diabetes claim for two decades; there are a bunch of good prospective studies showing no effect though the group originally reporting the finding is standing by its results. The studies on colon cancer and diet over the past decade surprised me -- the link with animal protein is weak at best. 2005 swedish study -- heavy dairy consumers had only 59% colon ca risk of others. ...Read more
Which baby's more prone to iron deficiency anemia on breast feeding or formula ( cow's milk) and why ?
Cow's milk ingestion: is associated with a higher incidence of iron deficiency. Neither C or Breast M contain iron, but iron in the diet is absorbed more readily with BM than with CM :https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/577504. Also, a small number of infants develop sensitivity to CM protein, which causes trace blood loss from the intestine. Low iron causes long term affects on learning and focus so prevent and Rx ...Read more
Very different: Both types of diabetes are characterized by high blood glucose levels. Type i diabetes is caused by a failure of the islet cells in the pancreas to produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is required to get glucose into the cells. In type ii diabetes, the pancreas produces Insulin but the cells don't use the Insulin in a normal fashion. This is sometimes called Insulin resistance. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
