Lactating After Tubal Ligation Is That Normal Should I Be Worried I Had It Done In September And Its Been Going On For A Couple Weeks Now
Lactating after tubal ligation is that normal should I be worried I had it done in september and its been going on for a couple weeks now?
I had a tubal ligation nearly 5yrs ago, i don't drink smoke or take any medication or drugs but i'm lactating. What's the likely problem?
This is not usual: Whether you had a laparoscopic surgery or a minilaparotomy procedure, you should normally be expected to feel better and better by day 4 "without severe throbbing pain". It would be best to notify your Gyn surgeon ASAP., seek a clinical evaluation and examination ASAP. and an emergent explanation for/treatment of your symptoms. ...Read more
I have a tubal ligation after I had my son 9 1/2 months ago. I have a normal 29day cycle. But now I'm spotting, I'm on CD 15. What could cause this?
See your OB: You dont need to ovulate to have spotting, and vaginal bleeding, if light, can happen normally at any day of the cycle. If heavy, dysfunctional bleeding needs to be evaluated for other possible causes, and a trip to the OB wiuld be well advised. The differential for dysfunctional bleeding is too long for this answer, please see an OB ASAP if the bleeding is heavy ...Read more
I had a tubal ligation and now im passing clots that are dark and the size of a quarter is that normal?
I had my tubal ligation over 9 months ago. Each month after I stop bleeding a couple days to a week goes by and I start spotting. Is this normal?
Possible related: Tubal ligation usually does not affect the regularity of your period. Having bleeding in between your normal periods is called intermenstrual bleeding. If the blood flow to your ovaries was compromised during your tubal ligation, which is actually uncommon, this could make intermenstrual bleeding occur. More than likely it is by chance that your periods are now different. ...Read more

Pregnancy test: Tubal ligations are very reliable but they do occasionally fail. Take a pregnancy test. Just turned forty spotting during ovalation and I have tubal ligation done in 1999 is this normal?
Ovulation spotting: As a woman ages, the ovaries require more stimulation from the pituitary to produce an egg at ovulation. This provides a large increase in estrogen production, and that level of estrogen drops to near zero just prior to ovulation. Similar to why bleeding occurs at your menses, degeneration of some of the lining of the uterus causes spotting to frank brief bleeding: i.e., it is normal. ...Read more
CSection & Tubal Ligation on 8/8. Normal cycle on 10/15. Now having cycles every 2 weeks. Is this normal? Cycles - 11/15, 11/30, 12/17.
Yes: Pregnancy and procedures like tubal ligation can sometimes "reset" the menstrual cycle/log at times. So, being so recently postpartum, my hunch is that there is probably not any real pathology (e.g. growth, tumors, etc...) going on here. Nevertheless, continue to monitor. If the symptoms persist for the next 3-4 cycles, get with your OB/GYN for further evaluation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

On 7/3 I had a tubal ligation and nexplanon removed. Still no period should I be worried or is this normal?
Probably: It will probably take a while for it all to get out of your system. How long? That probably varies, But the best sign is development regular periods (or getting pregnant). So decide if you want to get pregnant or not and act accordingly. If not, get on an alternate form of birth control toute suite (that's "pronto" for those of you in the West...). ...Read more
Tubal ligation done 2 years mirena (levonorgestrel) inserted july 2014 having painful abdominal spasms and extremely emotional. Is this normal?
Double therapy?: Your brief history sound a bit strange unless something is missed there. With tubal ligation done there is no need in additional contraceptive therapy with Mirena (levonorgestrel) device. As far as symptoms you are complaining of, yes Levonorgestrel (active ingredient in Mirena (levonorgestrel)) may cause it. Go to our PMD or GYN, get qualified advice after your entire history is reviewed and you are examined. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Had colonscopy done almost 2 years ago-Normal. Tubal ligation & C-Section in 8/2014. Noticed rectal bleeding with last 2 cycles. What could this be?
My period is 4 days late, on the 3rd day I spotted once. I had a normal pap within 30 days. I had a tubal ligation done 5 years ago. I have low iron.
Probably normal: I believe you are experiencing the surprise of a woman who has always had regular periods & for the first time something is a little different. The tubal ligation essentially assures that you are not pregnant. Being 4 days late is really in the normal range..these changes may increase as you age. Good rule of thumb: OK to watch/wait for 10-14 days before contacting provider. ...Read more

May be an infection: It isn't likely that a tubal ligation done 3 years ago has anything to do with heavy bleeding 5 times in one month. This could have many causes including infection and you need to be evaluated immediately to determine and treat the cause before you become dangerously anemic. See your PCP, GYN, an urgent care clinic or the ER today. Hope you feel better fast. ...Read more
Are irregular periods normal after a bilateral tubal ligation? I had one 8/13/2012, and my period started back in september. I've missed 2 periods
Maybe: If you just had a baby or just stopped birth control pills around the time of your tubal ligation, it could be normal. Check a pregnancy test just to make sure you are not pregnant. If you continue to skip periods, see the doctor who performed your tubal ligation and get his/her advice. ...Read more
