Maybe a food allergy: You could have a food allergy to ham or to that particular preparation of it. Try cooking a fresh ham at home or buying a different brand and see if you have the same reaction. Could you be allergic to any component of the sandwich?
Or if the sandwich had mayonaise on it that was bad (beyond the expiration date) or left in warm conditions too long. This will have a "tingling" sensation.
