Kraurosis: Kraurosis vulvae is a skin condition characterized by atrophy and shrinkage of the skin of the vagina and vulva often accompanied by a chronic inflammatory reaction in the deeper tissues. Please follow up with an ob-gyn.

My vulva area is beginning to itch but I don't have and other symptoms. I believe it comes from shaving very often... Could this be the reason why?

Yes: Shaving can cause irritation the vulvar region. As hair grows back again, it can cause itching as the follicles emerge from the epidermal layer. Take a shower and that may help resolve the symptoms.

What is the symptom of vulva itching (or pruritus vulvae (indicative of?

Lots of possibilities: An itchy vulva can be caused by many different conditions, such as skin problems, infections, a reaction to soaps or perfumes, your hormone levels, other general health problems, to mention only a few. There's a long list. So, if you have a itchy vulva, you should see your doctor to find out the cause.

My grandmother died in her late 70's from Vulva cancer, does that put me at high risk, does it run in genes? What symptoms do I look for?

Regular checkups: I trust that you see your doctor about once every year. Discuss the matter with her/him so that your doctor can examine the vulva. Please consult this site for symptoms of early vulvar cancer. http://www. Mayoclinic. Org/diseases-conditions/vulvar-cancer/basics/symptoms/CON-20043483 Wish you good health. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. Practice safe sex.

Developed dependency after clobetasol use for 3 months in vulva. Haven't used it for 2 days. I have moderate burning. Withdrawal symptom?

Probably: Clobetasol is a high potency steroid, and shouldn't be used on sensitive skin areas for so long. You might try using a weaker steroid cream such as over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream for awhile to wean off the clobetasol or you may need something stronger. Depending on why you are using clobetasol on that area, you probably should discuss this with a dermatologist or your gynecologist.

I've been to many docs and they don't know why I have a red vulva. No symptoms; just red/swollen. I've been given a cortisteroid which didn't help?

I've been to many docs and they don't know why I have a red vulva. No symptoms; just red/swollen. I've been given a cortisteroid which didn't help?

No disease: If many doctors have cleared you then there is probably little to worry about. Red and swollen skin is either an infection such as yeast. Or, it is an allergy or sensitivity. Common skin irritants are soaps, creams, lubricants.

Have bumps on my vulva of various sizes they don't itch/hurt, how likely is this to be herpes? They don't seem like the symptoms I read or pics seen

Have bumps on my vulva of various sizes they don't itch/hurt, how likely is this to be herpes? They don't seem like the symptoms I read or pics seen

Herpes simplex: Lesions due to this virus usually begin as blisters, break down and ulcerate, forming shallow tender and painful red circular ulcers. Without seeing the bumps you describe there is no way in which to establish a diagnosis. Good luck.

What can I do to address UTI symptoms and an itchy vulva?

What can I do to address UTI symptoms and an itchy vulva?

See your doctor: One possibility is a yeast infection, which can be addressed with an over the counter cream. However, many things can cause these symptoms, and it is difficult to tell without a more complete history, doing a physical exam, and perhaps checking your urine. You may need antibiotics or be at risk for developing a kidney infection if you have a uti.

Are cuts around the vulva a normal symptom for a yeast infection?

Are cuts around the vulva a normal symptom for a yeast infection?

Yes: Sadly, those little thin paper cuts that can appear on vulva are often associated with yeast infection. Rarely, little fissures are associated with hsv.

Vaginal spots: There are many possibilities. It would take an examination by your doctor to tell you what the spots are and if it is a problem.

Itching around the vulva. Only symptom. Used Monistat 1 (tioconazole) and relieved for a little while. What could this be? Should I apply it to the outside instead?

I would: You could have a yeast infection in the skin of the vulva. I would try the monistat externally for a couple of days. If that doesn't help then see your doctor or urgent care for an exam.

Biospy says vulvar folliculitus. Culture shows negative for bac/yeast but feel vulva/vag yeast type symptoms. What could this be?

Infection of hair: Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicle. Sounds as if you also have other symptoms--? Itching, or discharge--depending on symptoms, could be std's or vaginitis or vulvar vestibulitis (a condition causing pain with intercourse and tenderness to the touch of a qtip at the opening of vagina). Discuss with your dr who did the biopsy.

The: The fact that you are "still itchy" means that the infection is likely still present. Continue to apply over the counter yeast infection medication to the affected areas (on vulva etc.) do this twice a day. If you do not notice an improvement in 3 to 4 days then you may be dealing with another type of infection, and then it would be wise to see your doctor. Good luck.

I have two spots in my genital region near the vulva that are slightly red, not raised, and the only symptom is they itch like crazy! What is it?

Not certain.: When you say "near the vulva, do you mean "in the pubic area" or "on the outer labia"? Itchy lesions in the pubic area can be caused by insect bites (including flea bites and pubic lice, ugh!). Itching in the vaginal or labial area can be caused by an allergic reaction or a yeast infection. If they don't clear up in a day or so, or if you notice other symptoms, get medical care.

Chronic itchy vulva (near cliterous and between labia). DX and treated for BV, symptoms never fully went away. Still itchy. Just exterior, not in vag?

Yes: Vaginal itching without discharge can indicate infections like yeast or stis like herpes. It can indicate an allergic reaction to household products like certain soaps and laundry detergents. There are also some skin conditions liked lichen sclerosis which can cause vaginal itching. Testing and exam is key. Over the counter Prevaleaf Soothe is a great product for this common problem.

Sperm in vagina: You got pregnant from someone who left sperm inside of your vagina. Not from someone wearing boxers who did not penetrate you, .
