Hello hi have a knot ffeeling in my anal /rectum area like the mustle any clues why it comes and goes?

Anal Pain/Issues: The most common problems in the rectum for a man of your age would be a hemorrhoid or an anal fissure. The fissure, can get infected. It can also, if left untreated, cause scarring that leads to a fistula track burrowing deeming into the rectum and colon. If these symptoms persist you may want to visit them with your physician.

Hi I've been told I've got proctalgia but I have no pain I have a knot feeling in my or around my rectum anal area what could it be ibs?

Tell me more...: What do you mean by "knot"? If you don't have pain in your rectum then you do not have proctalgia. Proctalgia is a very painful spasm of some muscles in the pelvis.

Hi I've got IBS and proctalgia but I don't get much pain is this right I get a prickly knot feeling in the rectum anal area?

It is different: Ibs and proctalgia are different diseases. Proctalgia is sudden and temporary spasm of some muscles in your pelvis around the rectum. If by "knot" you mean those muscles then you are right. Ibs is irregular and abnormal motion of the bowels. Both of them could be aggravated with stress.

Help docs! I'm worried about this lump on the inside of my anal area?

Get it checked: A lump that developed suddenly at the edge of the anus is most often a thrombosed external hemorrhoid, though that usually hurts. Slowly developing lumps can be more sinister and should be checked.

Could it be healthy to put baby powder on ur anus?

Baby powder: It is fine to put baby powder on the anus and perineum. It helps keep the anus and perineal area free of moisture and less itchy. I use it regularly for my patients with pruritis ani (itchy bottom).

Rectal exam: If you have itching, could be hemorrhoids. A rectal exam can check your spinchter tone. If you have had anal sex, you may want to get checked for sexuality transmitted diseases. If you have a family history of colon cancer, you should be screened. Also think about any recent travel out of the country with ova and parasites.

I have a pink tag like thing on the opening of the anus. It hurts if it is touched too much. What could it be? It's been there about 4 weeks.

A skin tag: Have you had pain there before or any pain with BM? Some people get a skin tag thing there as anal fissure heals. Don't touch it too much. It can also be small hemorrhoid. HPV- warts can also look like that. If it grows get doctor to remove it.

I have bad pain in my anus anyway I could reduce it?

Need 2nd opinion: Proctologists are specialists on anal issues/pain and can examine the cause, and go over in detail the possible solutions, depending on the cause of your pain. This is difficult to treat without knowing the details, and they know exactly what to do, by taking a full history, dietary habits, food allergies, exposure to infectious causes, and can put your mind at ease. Best not to treat on your own.
