Kneecap Burning And Numb For 3 Months
I have pain, numbness and tingling in my forearm 3 weeks after IV for knee replacement surgery. Why?
Peripheral nerve?: Depending on the location of the pain, the most common cause is a sensory peripheral nerve injury. There are superficial nerves running near veins that can be damaged during IV placement. It usually recovers with no treatment, but can take months. Be sure to mention this to your knee surgeon. ...Read more

Possible autoimmune: On and off swelling of joints is suggestive of an underlying infectious process or autoimmune process like rheumatoid arthritis. Left arm has mild pain, off and on for days,my elbow aches, shoulder will hurt then stop. I'm 40 type 1 diabetic for two years now. Good Lipid panel ?
And question?: is not entirely clear. I assume it isn't about lipids (unlikely related to pain) and IS about pain. without an exam, I can only give general information, and, muscle/joint aetiology is easy w. exam. Staying mobile very important. And.. nerve injury/pinch/irritation/neuropathy goes in the path of the nerve neck-->shoulder-->elbow-->hand. would NOT hurt to touch and more shooting type pain. ...Read more

Have had severe knee pain for past 3 months. The pain is unbearable while walking and standing up. Knee Exercise hasn't been of any use.
I've had DVT in the past (18 months ago, treated, off thinners for about 9 months.) i'm experiencing some swelling in the leg and an intermittent tingling sensation upper thigh -- should I go to er?
Needs Evaluation: The blood clots from DVT are rarely completely dissolved after treatment and recurrences are not uncommon. Damage to the valves in the leg veins may also predispose to leg swelling. At any rate, if your are experiencing leg swelling you should be evaluated. Mild symptoms don't usually require a trip to the er. Call your primary care doc. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I had a TBI 3 yrs ago. Left side paralyzed for 3 weeks. Occasionally my left arm tingles and goes weak and numb. Should I get this examined?
Depends on symptoms: If your left arm symptoms are worsening (i.e. you have them more often, or they are lasting longer when they occur), it could be something new. If the symptoms are getting less frequent or less severe, then it may be that the symptoms are residual from the prior TBI. You should probably have regular follow up (every 6-12 months at least) to monitor your progress. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Had 2 weeks of RS numbness hand, foot and mouth went away then right to vertigo for 3 weeks now and Pins needles head and RS face off and on. Ideas?
Please see neurologi: Numbness only on one side of the body followed by vertigo should be evaluated by a neurologist. When you see your neurologist, it is helpful to separate the general term numbness into the neurological terms of "less feeling than normal" (like when you get dental work done and you cannot feel it) and "more feeling than normal" (like the buzzing and pins feeling when you cross your legs too long). ...Read more

I had belotero in my tear troughs. I feel she hit infra orbital nerve. 3 months post. Sensations including some burning and gnawing will this return?
Unlikely: It's unlikely with a skin filler that one would hit the infraorbital nerve, it is significantly deep to the skin, and this particular filler is injected very superficially. Do you have any numbness? I would massage the area. Burning pain can be nerve pain, but usually that occurs long after an injury. ...Read more
