Follow up with doc: This obviously is not normal. I recommend you follow-up with your surgeon or get a 2nd opinion. I suspect you likely have associated osteoarthritis and a lateral release is not very helpful for that. Other structures inside/outside the joint need to be evaluated. Don't suffer, seek more help!
