Depends: It all depends on the type of surgery and the condition of your knee. If you have severe arthritis, then a meniscus surgery may simply have been inadequate. If you had an actual meniscus repair (not that common), then it's possible the repair failed. Also, it's important to rule out an infection. See your ORS: If u are still having problems w/ your knee more than a year after your arthroscopy see your ors.Recurrent meniscal tears or other causes of knee pain/'locking' could be present.A good thorough knee exam is indicated. ...Read more

Yes, it can be: Arthroscopic acl surgery can cause some mild residual swelling w/ running etc. 11 months post-op. A small area of numbness below the kneecap if the patellar tendon was harvested is also normal.Recurrent swelling that is interfering w/ knee flexion or more numbness than described( esp.W/ meniscus repair)is not ' normal'. It : It will usually take a few weeks for the swelling to subside. If you have some arthritis as well as a meniscus tear it can take longer for the fluid in your knee to be absorbed. At two weeks post-operation i would not be too worried about having an occasionally swollen knee. ...Read more

Probably not: Some swelling after a major knee surgery is not uncommon for a few months. Pl continue with OT/PT and keep walking to enhance your rehabilitation. Feel better ...Read more

Depends: Your need for surgery will depend on the stability and/or damage under your knee cap. If this is your first patella dislocation vs the latest ofmor, that could change things as well.
