I sprained my knee ages ago but I had a x - ray which came back normal but my knees stiff how to reduce stiffness?
My knees are stiff /pain. My kneecaps used to pop out - i was told i didn't have a bone in both knees. Is the stiffness related, should I see a doc.?
I got a short leg cast today and my knee is very stiff what are ways for the stiffness to go away?
Move it: I assume you were taken out of a long leg cast and converted to a short leg cast. If so, the motion will gradually come. I would just try to heat it up prior to stretching with warm compresses and then stretch in both flexion (bend) and extension. It may take a couple weeks but it should improve. Number of reasons -: Like an injury to it, bleeding into the joint, or fluid build up from any cause, a fracture of the bones making the knee joint, pulled muscles, strained ligaments around the knee. Stretch: Knee stiffness in teenagers if not associated with redness and swelling is typically related to tight hamstrings, quads, and calf muscles. Teenagers are still in their growth phase. Bones grow faster than muscles and tendons so it is not unusual for these to become tight as teenagers become taller. A good stretching program can be very helpful.
