Knee Popping When Walking With Medial Ankle Sprain
1
I had a grade three lateral ankle sprain 2mnths ago but the lateral side of my knee has hurt worse than my ankle. Knee buckles towards medial side.

Knee ligament injury:
There is a chance that you stretched out or tore your lateral collateral ligament of the knee especially if the pain is on the outside portion of your knee. If the pain is on the inner aspect of your knee you may have torn your meniscus
Get examined by an orthopedic surgeon. Any "sprain " that has pain and symptoms more than 6-8 weeks warrants an exam.

Sprained ankle on the leg that has lymphedema, it's been a year and still not healed. Right side of foot bothers me when I walk. Will it ever heal?

Ankle Sprain Healing: Statistically, 10% of all ankle sprains have some residual problem after one year. This can be muscle weakness, ligament instability, missed bone injuries, stiffness, etc. Most of these problems are minor, but not if you are getting some disability. Have it checked out by a podiatrist or orthopedist. Hopefully, the cure is quite simple. Dr rich blake. ...Read more

Hi! I just recently sprained my ankle while running about 12 days ago... I am able to walk on it while limping and I still have very bad brusing and swelling. The brusing comes all the way up my leg. I'm a nurse and need to go back to work. I'm also a run

Not Good.: If you were attending to the ankle in the RICE fashion as well as protecting it form unnecessary stress, your ankle would probably not be exhibiting the signs of an acutely sprained ankle after twelve days. The edema is consistent with an unstable ankle sprain and needs at least cam walker type immobilization, at least. If this was a self diagnosed sprain, you need to have a doctor examine it. ...Read more

Sprained my ankle late August, it's fine now but it "pops" when I sit in the butterfly position (feet together knees out). No pain just feels weird.?

Healing occurs with:
Scar tissue and initially its fairly thick and over 5-6 months its gets smaller and mature. So popping can be due to that and I am hopeful it would settle down, and should disappear in another 3 months or so.
Good Luck.

Can knock knees and flat feet cause you to fall over more often? Sprained my ankle and trip up quite a bit.

Yes: Having knock knees or flat feet can cause you to be more likely to fall and/or sprain an ankle. If you have both, your risk is much getter. An ASO (ankle stabilizing orthosis), a brace that can be worn comfortably between a sock and shoe, not only is very helpful in healing a strained ankle, but can also be worn continuously to prevent future ankle injuries. I sprained my ankle playing basketball 2 days ago. Swelling in foot ankle and all the up too halfway to my knee. Is it broken or sprained or a torn lig?
Any of the above:
Any of the above could be present, if it was broken pain would be moreso and not get better, sprain would be slightly better in 2 days and probably same with torn lig.
Should see your doc, & on examination it would be obvious what is the cause, in most cases. A xray would confirm a fracture.
Keeping foot elevated, its normal to see swelling and bruising to extend upwards towards knee.

More eval/testing: With that type of pain, you will benefit from a very detailed exam to uncover the cause of your symptoms. It's difficult to advise you of the potential problem with this very brief description. If x-rays are normal and the diagnosis is in doubt, then an MRI is often the next best test. For now, it sounds like crutches while upright, rest, ice and elevation would be wise before seeing a physician. ...Read more

What could I do about overpronation of right ankle from unhealed sprained ankle injury and normal pronation of left foot. Left knee clicks a lot?

Orthotics or brace: It is important that how your foot comes in contact with the ground that the weight is distributed evenly and not creating imbalance in the joints above, including the ankle. Consider the use of an orthotic and/or ankle brace that keeps the back of the foot (rearfoot bones) aligned and in a more efficient biomechanical position. I received a cortisone shot 4 days ago in my nervE sprained my ankle and he said tarsal tunnel is it normal to have my foot up to my knee to be cold?

Can you specify:
Where you received the cortisone shot?.....was that given by the ankle? In the region of the tarsal tunnel?
The coldness you are feeling up to your knee may be neuropathy caused by a radiculopathy.
I would suggest an Emg/NCV study to rule out a "double crush syndrome" it's possible you have both a tarsal tunnel and a radiculopathy. I don't think your coldness is related to shot.
