Probably overuse: Since this involves both knees, it is probably from overuse, especially since only the back of the knee. Take more frequent breaks to get up and walk around. Unusual: I'd say it's kind of unusual for a 22 year old to have arthritis unless you've had lots of injuries to the knee when you were younger. An xray can show signs of arthritis. When i see a 22 year old with knee pain, it's usually because of soft tissue problems (muscles and ligaments), rather than arthritis.
